    Individual Counseling

If you’ve been feeling hopeless or lost lately, or struggling with a problem in your life that feels insurmountable, individual therapy can help. In working with many adult clients for over a decade, I have learned that, as difficult as life may feel right now, therapy can make a difference.

My clients often seek treatment for:

    • Relationship difficulties
    • Grief from loss of a relationship/divorce
    • Friendship problems
    • Estrangement from family of origin
    • Issues related to childhood abuse/trauma
    • Low self-esteem
    • Depression and anxiety
    • Panic attacks/Phobias
    • Social anxiety
    • Emotional reactivity
    • Parenting challenges (see Parent Coaching)
    • Stress and feelings of overwhelm

I use many evidence-based strategies and tools rooted in neuroscience to support my clients, including:

    • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for anxiety and depression
    • EMDR for trauma-related issues (see What is EMDR?)
    • Mindfulness techniques to help clients increase self-awareness of thoughts, feelings and needs
    • Self-Compassion techniques to help quell that inner critic
    • Communication tools to effectively express feelings and needs to others
    • Anger Management skills

It is a brave step to reach out for help, and I am grateful you popped by to read about my services. If you would like to learn more about how I work with clients, please reach out to me today to schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation.
